What is the potential of AI coaching?

Coaching is a billion dollar industry and one of its main criticisms is its limited accessibility and affordability. This is understandable given that coaching is usually a one-on-one process or, in the case of group and team coaching, a one-on-several process. However, the growth of AI coaching, if proven effective, has the potential to be a game changer.

 

This issue of Coaching Research in Practice reviews a recent quantitative study of the impact of an AI coachbot. With only scant research available on the efficacy of AI coaching, this article provides insight into whether AI coaching actually works.
