A case for coaching during the pandemic

For more than a year now, the world has been grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals, organizations and entire societies have faced massive change in both day-to-day life and the workplace. As some countries are starting to come out the other side, other countries are doubling over under the strain.
As a result of the pandemic and the hit the world economy took, many coaches lost business. Yet research shows that coaching clients through the pandemic enhances both well-being and performance. This issue of Coaching Research in Practice reviews a recent paper that provides evidence for the impact of coaching during a pandemic. It sheds light on the effects of the pandemic on managers and their teams and highlights some ways in which coaching is beneficial.
